"Be very, very, open-minded, ask a lot of questions and just really not give up. Like if you know that this world needs, whatever it is that you want to build, just do it, you know, do it. " - Jessica Levison

Jessica Levison is a mom of 3 (ages 4, 6 and 8) and a former lawyer who has a passion for ice cream. When she saw a need in her local community, she decided opened a brick and mortar ice cream shop (as a side hustle to her law job).

However, after having kids she struggled with getting them to eat their veggies whereas they always would eat the ice cream. That is where the idea for Peekaboo Organics was born.

Peekaboo makes ice cream with hidden veggies you cannot see or taste. Why? Because nothing feeds our soul quite like ice cream and that's just as important as eating our veggies! Jessica was recently featured on Shark Tank and Peekaboo can be found in stores nationwide.

In this episode Jessica and I chat about

  • Starting a business in a completely new industry with no direct experience

  • Why creating your own group of mentors and advisors is crucial to avoiding mistakes

  • The ups and downs of being a Founder

  • Managing life with 3 kids and multiple businesses
