Hi! I'm Stephanie Uchima-Carney...

a serial entrepreneur and “xennial” mom of 3 kids (ages 4, 5, and 8 years old). I left a corporate career, to follow my intuition and embark on a mission to help other women, especially working moms and entrepreneurs, succeed and thrive in motherhood, business and life.

I am an optimistic ESFP, OCD planner, marketing and strategy expert, builder of creative and small businesses, trendsetter, people connector, technology lover, philanthropist, and left-brained girl infused with a little bit of creativity and woo-woo.

After obtaining my MBA/MRED, launching multiple companies, consulting both individuals and major corporations for over 20 years, and working for multiple corporate and non-profit organizations, my passion for helping women (especially moms) create, build and grow impactful, profitable and purposeful businesses led me to launching my podcast Mommy’s on a Call.

Through the podcast, I realized, as much as I loved business strategy, the foundation of every “balanced” and “successful” working woman and mom was rooted in a solid wellness practice.

After growing up in a family of nurses, doctors, and longevity-obsessed Okinawans plus dealing with a multitude of women’s health issues since I was 16, I have always been curious about all things health and wellness (I even had a blog in 2011 called “Cupcakes to Crossfit”).

However, it wasn’t until I collapsed in Jan 2021 that I realized, my health and wellness need to be my number one priority and in March 2022, I enrolled in the Institute for Integrative Nutrition to learn more about how to heal myself. Little did I know this would change my career path forever.

After undergoing 5 abdominal surgeries within 6 years, I knew in my gut (no pun intended) health and wellness was the path I was meant to take. After graduating from IIN in December 2022, I went on to pursue my Meditation Certification and Ayurveda Certification from Chopra Health and as of 2024, I am currently working on obtaining my Board Certification from NBHWC.

My journey has fueled my mission to help women, especially moms, transform their health and wellness through intentional habits and mindfulness practices. I believe we deserve to feel nourished, fulfilled and happy so that we can thrive in all aspects of our life.

Where it all began...

I was born into a family of entrepreneurs, so it is in my DNA to be an innovator and a people connector. From an early age, I was always thinking of new ideas, how to fix and solve problems, how to improve an existing tool or predict what the future is going to look like.

I have an intuitive sense on consumer behavior, markets and trends, so among friends I am the go-to source and curator of information and advice on upcoming trends, resources or products for many different industries ranging from real estate to non-profit fundraising to event planning to kids to fashion to the best mommy and baby products! Because of that, in the early 2010s, I had 2 successful blogs: The Preppy Chic Blog (all about fashion and weddings) and Cupcakes to Crossfit (health and wellness).

I was born and raised in SoCal and while I am a UCLA Bruin at heart - where I received my B.S. in Applied Mathematics & Physics - I did venture into rival territory to the USC Marshall School of Business, to obtain an MBA in Entrepreneurship and a Masters in Real Estate Development (MRED).

I've worked in multiple professional industries ranging from analytical -- electrical engineering, healthcare management consulting, real estate development and acquisitions, non-profit and independent school development to creative -- luxury destination wedding and event planning, design and production, in which I owned and managed my own luxury event planning and production company for over 10 years.

My Health Journey…

After years of struggling with women’s health issues, infertility and putting my health on the back burner in order to pursue my education, excel at my career, and launch multiple companies, I thought exhaustion, terrible periods, chronic sinusitis, body pains and feeling burnt out were just the price of “having it all” — building a business alongside building a family.

Then add on a global pandemic, postpartum with 3 kids under 5 years old and I still thought I could “do it all.”

Until one day in Jan 2021, I literally collapsed, ended up in the ER and then the OR. I almost lost the very thing that made me a mom of 3: my ovaries.

I thought I was doing “all the things” right, but in reality I was ignoring every warning sign the Universe was sending me. I wasn’t listening to my body or my intuition.

Health and wellness isn’t just “self-care” or some unattainable fitness regimen or diet plan. It involves ALL aspects of your life and all dimensions of wellness. By taking intentional actions to heal myself, different parts of my life began to change and improve.

Through health and wellness coaching, I want to help other women shift the paradigm of what being a modern woman and working mom looks like in order to live a happy, healthy, and fulfilled life.

What I Love…

In business, I love strategy, problem solving, Excel spreadsheets, innovating, thinking outside the box, forecasting the next "big thing," learning, teaching, networking and technology.

I am a connoisseur of doughnuts 🍩, coffee ☕️, and breakfast burritos 🌯, and I love anything hot pink 💕, nice shoes, fun nails 💅🏼, peonies, travel 🏝️, interior design, philanthropy, health & wellness 🧘🏻‍♀️, astrology 💫 and any type of organizational tool or planner.

I currently reside in the beach cities of Los Angeles and I am blessed with 3 children and a wonderful supportive husband.

If I'm not spending quality time with my family and friends, you can find me at Pilates, wandering the aisles at Target or Nordstrom, lounging on a beach in Maui or sitting on the Board of a local non-profit organization.
