Housewarming & Summer Backyard BBQ

After weeks of planning and 24/7 construction work, our backyard and house were finally completed and we celebrated by hosting a joint birthday (for myself & boyfriend), Father’s Day and housewarming party all-in-one!  Over 80 people showed up (only 50 RSVP’d too), but it was a giant success!

The Theme: Citrus Summer Fun. The Colorshot pink, lemon yellow, chartreuse & accents of orange. The Menu: BBQ Buffet & Burger Bar + Lemonade!!!

The flower arrangements were simple and made out of gerbera daisies, peonies & hydrangeas.  I bought all the flowers at Trader Joe’s and the local farmers market!  For cups, the guests used mason jars wrapped in twine with colorful paper straws & labels (so they didn’t lose their cups) and all the paperware was purchased from Target!

… and the food! (I couldn’t take photos b/c people ate so fast!!!)

Happy Summer!!!
